Stuff

Roxette was FANTASTIC.  BEST CONCERT EVER.  Dangerous was my favorite song, J's favorite song was Spending My Time.  SO COOL.....

John McVie look-alike playing the tambourine, Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle

J and I had a great time - we had a marathon gab session on our road trip there, and again coming back home the next day.  Isn't it fantastic connecting with old friends?  It was great to see my cousin S too.  A good time was had by all!

After being away from home the last two weekends, this week we are staying put at home and tackling the basement painting and more renos.  Hubs is going to assemble my closet organizers this week.

My daylilies are still going strong:

Happy September, it's been a great month so far!   Love this song:

  1. Hello:
We are so pleased to know that the concert was such a great success and clearly lived up to all of your expectations.

Sorting out the basement this coming weekend possibly holds less appeal!!

    1. I am not looking forward to the basement and the painting down there, lots of cutting in and nitty-gritty painting overhead and around the stairs!

  3. I love the thrill of a concert, my lillies came to nothing this year, just like our summer.

    1. We actually had a summer this year in Canada - which is shocking, all of our previous summers during the last 10 years have only consisted of one or two hot weekends (or weekdays) and the rest rainy and cold.

That's right, I remember you went to Bryan Ferry last year! His concert is another must-do on my Bucket List. I hope I get a chance to see him sing live!

  4. Great songs you pointed to from the concert. Enjoyed both videos!
Earth Wind and Fire are always wonderful and I am hoping for a wonderful September for us all.
What are the plants growing around the day lily? They are familiar but can't place them.

    1. Hi Annie -- I think they are a type of succulent plant? (I'm bad with plant names!)

  7. So jealous! Sounds like a fun time.

I loved the video!! Hey I should have put that on my September post! You inspired me with all your great music. I always play them a ton when you post. There is something about seeing them again that is so fun.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. You too! You'll have to look up 'September' from Soul Train - they did the Soul Train dance line to that song. So fun!

  9. LR,
Your blog is a blast back to my youth. Oh, the 80s! Earth, Wind & Fire is still one of my favorite musical groups. What fun.
