Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary Hubs!

Today is our 6th anniversary, we got married on June 3, 2006.

I've always loved the Bee Gees' music, they were so talented.  (RIP Robin and Maurice).  In fact, our wedding song was How Deep is Your Love, which remains to be true.....

Hubs and I learned very early on that we had to band together as a team, and we were never going to be one of those couples who does what everyone expects them to do.

..... and we wouldn't have it any other way.

And of course we danced to this song at our wedding with attitude:

and this one:

  1. Happy anniversary! Oh just six years, you're really still a newly wed.
I love Staying Alive, it's such a feel good song, we don't dance, so no song for us, but I would have picked Kid Rock because I'm an anarchist at heart.

My sister-in-law had one of The Smiths songs as her first dance! Must have been one of the tame ones. haha

Hubs and I never do the "conventional" either. After some years people just expect you to go your own sweet way ;-)

  12. Happy anniversary! We watched a special on programme about the BeeGees a couple of days ago, I'd not until then realised Robin Gibb had died. I'm thinking I've reached a new part of my life - Davy Jones, Donna Summers, Whitney Houston, Dick Clark, Jonathan Frid, Robin Gibb. V. depressing. Never mind, hope you had a great anniversary - and many many more to come!

  13. Happy Anniversary! Very cute and I love these songs! Bowie really rocks doesn't he? Such a cool video. The Bee Gees one is sweet and it's so sad about Robin. LOVED those guys. This is totally my music, but I think I am way older than you. I bet you loved the jubilee Concert? Did you get to see it? Paul was my favorite.

    Best to you both!

    1. Thanks! Love Bowie. Unfortunately my PVR didn't tape the Jubilee concert (arrrgh) so will have to find youtube clips instead. I'll bet Paul was fab! I was just listening to 'Junior's Farm' today (Wings) on 70s on 7 - Sirius.

  14. Happy Anniversary! I remember the blog post you did about your beautiful wedding.

I've always loved the bee Gees and was sad that Robin passed away. Now it is only Barry who is left.

    1. Thanks Pat! The Bee Gees have such an impressive catalogue of music and they wrote so many songs for others, it is quite amazing really.
