RIP Whitney

So shocked to hear of Whitney's passing today.  I have fond memories of Superfab Sis and I singing along to Whitney's early albums and marveling at her great voice.  I always rooted for her to make a great comeback after putting up with Bobby Brown for so many years and dealing with personal issues....sadly it didn't come to be.

  1. This is really shocking - poor Whitney. She had so many great hits in the 80s I can't think of those days without hearing her soundtrack. What a sad day. xxx

  3. It is shocking and very sad that she's died so young. I remember reading a little booklet that came out when Oprah turned 50. She wrote about being proud that she made it to that age. It's not hard to think of quite a few people people who - though blessed with looks, brains, talent and wealth - didn't live very long lives. And now Whitney Houston is another of those. Very sad.

  4. Really sad - I hope she is honoured at the Grammys tonight in some way.

  5. I was very upset to read about this, I can't believe it. She was so young, and she leaves behind an 18 year old daughter, what a heartbreak.

  6. So sad to hear, and will miss her wonderful voice. Makes me extra sad thinking that she didn't get the intervention/help that she needed. I saw an interview with her mom years ago and the lady seemed so "together" and spoke about wanting to help her daughter. But if someone doesn't want the help, you can't force it on them.

  7. I feel bad for Bobbi Kristina, she has taken it so hard. And I totally agree CC - the person has to be at the point that they know they need the help and will seek it out.

  8. Ultimately she was a mother, daughter, sister and aunt...which is the biggest shame.
