My New Hat

Sister-in-law C gave me this faux fur hat for Christmas.  I love.

It's my birthday tomorrow, I'll be the same age as Duchess Kate for 3 days.   I took the day off from work for a lounge day.....(why not?)   I plan to re-watch some favorite episodes of Mad Men and Downton Abbey, and Hubs is making lobster for supper with limoncello cocktails.  Can't wait!

Tonight I'm having a facial done, my birthday treat to myself.

Ta ta!

  11. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a fabulous day yesterday -- Hubs was in cahoots with Superfab Sis for a surprise visit (she lives 2.5 hours away), she arrived with coffee and egg mcmuffins at 9am (sometimes you just need the grease) ..... so an hour later we're yakking and looking at photos on the laptop, and then Dear Dad shows up! (also from out of town.) Mom had gone to my aunt's 80th birthday celebration in Winnipeg so she wasn't able to come, but she had known of both surprises. It was a great day, went for lunch with Sis and Dad, visited and then Hubs made an excellent supper later. The limoncello cocktails were YUMMY. Try them. (Shot of limoncello, ice and tonic water).

  13. Happy Birthday! Still practically a baby... I've never heard of limoncello cocktails, they sound interesting! We loved the lemon liqueur we discovered our first trip to Italy, but found - as with many types of alcohol - it didn't seem to travel well, as in it didn't taste as nice in a cold wet climate. I suspect a cocktail would go down much better. Enjoy your birthday!
