New Year's Tidings!

What was I doing last New Year's Eve?  Oh yes, Hubs and I went to the Casino Show Lounge to see Glass Tiger.

Glass Tiger, you say?  As in Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone?

Yes, for Heaven's sake!!  Glass Tiger were FABULOUS, a great way to ring in the New Year!

This New Year's Eve will be more low-key, just a get together with Hubs' family.  I will be taping Anderson Cooper's New Year's Eve Special with Kathy Griffin, those two are such an unlikely pair and Anderson really has to be on his game with unpredictable Kathy!   ;)

Hubs and I did end the year on a great note, and we hope 2012 will be delightful and favourable for us and for our loved ones.  Superfab Sis is expecting her second child in Spring 2012, so we are looking forward to that!

I hope 2012 is delightful and favourable for you too!  All the best, wherever you are!

  1. Happy New Year! Enjoy your low key evening with family; I'll be doing the same :)
As for Kathy and Anderson...that is an unexpected pairing, I may have to check that out!

  2. Best wishes to you also LR for a great start to 2012.
A low key celebration this year ..nice dinner out for hubs and I then a dvd at home. Madam X which I grabbed today on sale.

  3. Happy New Year! Wishing you the best of luck in 2012 ;-)

  4. Glass Tiger! What a throwback!

"don't forget me when I'm heart will break"

    Happy 2012 LR!

  5. I hope your new year is wonderful!
The song was more familiar to me than the group's name!

  6. Happy New Year LR! Sounds like you had a fabulous time celebrating.

I wanted to mention that the Aquatalia Rumba boots are on their way to me now, a friend in Europe was able to find them in my size. Thanks for the blog post and details on the boots, can't wait to get them.

Warm wishes for a wonderful 2012.

  7. Thanks everyone! Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve!

Laura - Kathy and Anderson were hilarious!

Xoxo - Glad you were able to find the boots! Hopefully Nordstrom will still have them (in my size) when it's time for me to order them!

  8. Well, now. Can't say I've heard of Glass Tigers (v. 1980s?), but that song seems familiar. We went to our neighbours and had a quiz with chicken pies and all sorts. Then into the street to watch fireworks and circle round to sing Auld Lang Syne. Then to another neighbours (more food and drink!) where our 80-year old neighbour, George, sang us 150 year old ballads written about the village we live in, along with a new neighbour woman who teaches music (and has a lovely voice) at the local symphony hall. It was an unexpected treat all the music. Food, drink and fireworks are usually enough for me!

  9. Shelley - Sounds like you had a marvelous New Year's Eve!
